More
than two weeks after Tropical Storm Fay inflicted it's damaging flood waters on
Windhorse Sanctuary, the water is finally beginning to recede. To
all the organizations and individuals who have stepped forward to help us during
this crisis, THANK YOU!
As we are still in the prime of Florida's Hurricane Season, we appreciate your
continued support. Your contributions enable us to take measures to futher protect
these special needs animals from potential upcoming perils the hurricanes and
tropical storms impose.
thanks you for your continued support. TROPICAL
STORM FAY'S DAMAGE TO THE SANCTUARY
had lost more than 10 acres of precious pasture due to flooding from Tropical
Storm Fay. The
water has been so deep, the horses have been unable to get from the barn to higher
ground. We had to feed more hay to compensate for the lack of pasture and use
more shavings to keep horses safe in the barn at night. We
have been spending an additional $150 per day to feed and care for the animals
since Fay flooded .
Please
help by making a donation of feed, hay or shavings through United Hay or by making
a monetary donation
here on our site.
