We welcomed two horses from our friends at South Florida SPCA (on Aug 8, 2008). LuLu, a beautiful miniature horse, and Emmy, a 4 month old Arab filly. Laurie Waggoner discovered them and 37 other starving horses when she was on her way to an abandoned horse call in Miami. Both horses were seriously compromised...sick and starving...their survival is a testament to the excellent rehabilitative care provided by Laurie and the volunteers at SFSPCA. LuLu and Emmy are continuing to recover. They are having fun meeting their new friends through the fence, playing just a bit and getting plenty of rest, feed and hay. Their recovery so far is nothing short of miraculous considering the condition they were in when they were found. Many thanks to Jenny and Vicki for providing transportation and support for these horses in need. Aug 2008 - Emmy upon
arrival. Aug

28, 2008 - Emmy has made some new friends too.
